Decoding the credit score - Girl in Htown

Decoding the credit score

Credit Score and reports

So I was able to sit down with my report and credit score and get a game plan on what to do next. I had 60k in debt most of it was student loans and I had nothing much helping my score beside the fact that one of my accounts was ten years old.

With the report and scorecard, I went here to get an idea on what I was looking at.

I’m on day 7 and had a chance to sit down and check out the video below.

The Goals

I realized I had literally no Credit cards to help my credit look as if I have different types of debt  I paid off my final credit card bill back in February and closed my account  I also wanted to get a small loan through Self Lender but thought I could get that later on in the year. I love Transunion and Experian since they tell you when you expect it to fall off your report and I didn’t have to open an unnecessary dispute with them.

Auto Pay

I opened a separate bank account and have transfers set up on my due date to have all the bills to be paid on time, I am setting up two small things to be paid for with the credit card a month. I used this packet to jot down my debt lowest to highest and to make a note on which I can come up with a payment agreement, or a payment plan as well.   I used this as a side by side with the book.
