About two weeks ago, I found myself at the beginning of a post-breakup therapy journey. The therapist threw a thought-provoking question my way, aiming to unravel the intricacies of what transpired in my past relationship. As I recount this expedition of self-discovery, I realize that when it comes to dating, I tend to be meticulous in my approach—what some might call over-vetting. However, this process has inadvertently become a significant aspect of how I give my heart in relationships.

I have a meticulous and comprehensive vetting process. It’s a journey that leads to an intense emotional investment, making me susceptible to giving my heart wholeheartedly once won.

 the therapists had probing questions about my intuition and tendency to ignore it. Despite my instinct screaming warnings, I found myself powerless at critical moments, entrusting someone who briefly showed me love. It explores how this affected my mental health and my resolve to address this in therapy.

 Embracing the Therapeutic Path Towards Empowerment

I am committed to therapy and its evolving role in my life. Therapy has become a tool for handling life’s challenges and specifically for navigating relationship-related issues. It’s about learning to regain power within relationships and addressing the patterns that led me to therapy in the first place.
